I bought this box at Michaels a few weeks ago because it was on sale.  Had no frickin idea what I was going to do with this box but I had to have it because I am compulsively spending on cutesy things right now.  It's a rather small trunk & there's a print of a rooster (cock...hahaha...I need to repent) on it.  Anyway, I was writing in my journal at lunch today & I figured out what I want to do with the trunk.  It's going to be my smile box.  I'm going to put things in it that make me smile.  Like, for example, a friend of mine made me a scrapbook of memories of various bits of our friendship.  Another friend, when I was really, really depressed, got together with a couple of other people & took these hilarious pictures.  My friend arranged them in an album & wrote a story to go with the photos.  My sister made me these cool collage books in the past years that I've held on to.  My mom gave me one of her journals from a long time ago.  I will put my favorite photos in the box.  Written letters from people.  Emails that I held on to because they made me feel good.  Maybe my favorite quote(s) written on a piece of paper.  And any time I'm feeling really sad, I'll open up my smile box & maybe it'll help me.  Yet another little project for me to work on this weekend.
