Travis Bickle: I got some bad ideas in my head.
Cuz
see, the goal is not to feel human. No, that's what we're trying to
avoid. The goal is to feel alive. And to feel alive, it doesn't need to
involve other people or attachments to other people at all. Feeling
alive is about breathing freely, the thoughts slowing down, being aware
of every part of your body.
And
see, I have these pajamas, men's pajamas. They're warm. I wear them
because they're warm & my electric blanket doesn't work anymore
& my space heater blows out cold air. On these men's pajamas, these
comfortable men's pajamas, there are these people that look like
they're partying. There are lime wedges & olives & filled
martini glasses & what looks like long island ice teas on these
pajamas. Well, the people on these pajamas are talking to me. Seriously
though. They are telling me that I will not be shoving my tongue down
anyone's throat tonight & so I should do a little tongue wrestling
with stemmed maraschino cherries.
I just tried to call my ex. Maybe he is dead. I sort of miss him a little bit right now.

I
tried to clean the, umm, the mildew off of my bathroom ceiling with one
part bleach, four parts water. I think I inhaled too many fumes.
